3D printer fleet management means running several printers as one system. It covers what every machine is doing now, which job goes where, what's broken, and a history good enough to compare one printer with another.
You usually notice the need before you name it: someone walks the floor looking for a free printer, reshuffles jobs every time a machine goes down, or can't say which printer fails the most. A fleet view keeps that information with the machines and jobs it belongs to.

Yes. You can take a printer out of service right away or once its current print finishes, with a reason everyone can see. It gets no new work until someone brings it back, and every downtime is kept in the printer's history.
